Malaga Airport Terminal
Information compiled by David Enrich, aviation and airport guide expert since 1999.
Málaga–Costa del Sol Airport (AGP) is one of Spain’s busiest airports and the main gateway to the Costa del Sol. The airport currently operates with Terminal 2 (Pablo Ruiz Picasso) and Terminal 3, which are fully connected internally and function as a single integrated terminal complex.
The airport handles millions of passengers annually, especially during the summer season, serving both domestic and international flights.

Even though there are two terminals, passengers can move easily between them on foot without exiting the building.
History & Development
Málaga Airport dates back to 1919, making it one of the oldest airports in Spain. Over the years, it has undergone several expansions to accommodate growing tourism demand along the Costa del Sol.
- Terminal 2 was inaugurated in 1991 and named after Pablo Ruiz Picasso.
- Terminal 3 opened in 2010 as a major expansion, significantly increasing capacity and modernizing the airport.
Today, both terminals operate as a unified space, offering modern facilities and a wide range of services.
Most check-in desks and departures are handled in Terminal 3, so always confirm your check-in area in advance.
